Summer market Design Assembly returns to Chijmes Hall for its third edition on June 10 & 11, 2026, bringing together 45 local brands, showcasing their Spring/Summer collections beneath the eaves of one of Singapore’s most historic venues, CHIJMES Hall.
The line-up spans key lifestyle categories — fashion for women, men and children; homewares, tablescaping and ceramics; beauty and wellness; bags, hats and accessories; fine art; sportswear; as well as artisanal food, sauces and fine wines.
The event welcomes back a strong cohort of returning brands that have been part of Design Assembly since its inception, including Apollonia, Elyse & i, Fleur Kakasi, She Creates Stories, Edition Limitée, Little Pea, Jasper Living, Bastide Colombe, Hankie Pankie Home, From the Dot, The Ink Tree, Tais’ Kitchen, Sukhatara, The Pure Stitch, Tara’s World and Strait Lights, among others. New additions bring fresh energy to this edition. Highlights include Country Club by Dasha — a sportswear label founded by professional tennis and padel player Dasha; Lost & Fray, offering a covetable range of soft bamboo loungewear; Coral Secret with its bohemian dresses and ethical swimwear; French fashion and jewellery from Frenchy Corner and Lou Dot Lou Bijoux; and Italian fashion label Orentaly.
The beauty and wellness category expands with Vivor, Oceans & Berries, ALT+K Beauty, Dr Jo’s Rituals and Myristica Hill. Visitors can also discover intricate handmade jewellery from Maracuya, Pamana and Nayantara; contemporary womenswear from Vine & Branches, Sasshu and Risen Collective; children’s brands Taaka Tales and My Passport Pal; and beaded bags from cult local brand Quintessential. With 45 brands gathered within CHIJMES, Design Assembly is more than a shopping market — it is an experience.
As one visitor shared: “The setting alone is worth the visit, but what really stood out was how intimate it felt — you could actually take your time and enjoy each brand.”
Organised by bag designer and founder Emily Cheetham of Elyse & i, alongside Samantha Colbert of Strait Lights, Design Assembly is intentionally curated to bring together a diverse range of makers — naturally fostering a sense of community, both among brands and visitors. “For many small brands — like my own — we often work from small or home offices, and opportunities to connect with other creatives can be limited,” says Cheetham. “One of the most rewarding outcomes of Design Assembly has been meeting like-minded founders, hearing their stories — and even their small business war stories — and learning from one another.”
Shoppers are invited to join from the opening evening on Wednesday, June 10, where guests will be welcomed with a summery spritz. With many in Singapore’s expat community preparing for summer travel, the market offers a timely opportunity to discover the very best of local talent — whether updating a holiday wardrobe or finding thoughtful Singapore-inspired gifts. Alongside the shopping experience, Design Assembly presents Inspired by Singapore — a micro exhibition in the vestibule featuring works by local artists and photographers including Katie Martin-Sperry, Louise Hill, Fleur Kakasi, By Fable, Rebecca Berger, Susan Olij and Samantha Saw.
Showcasing genuinely affordable pieces inspired by the colours, character and charm of Singapore, the exhibition offers visitors a thoughtful and unexpected extra to discover during Design Assembly. Colbert captures the spirit of the event: “We want visitors to come for the finds, but stay for the magic.”
