The PuXuan Hotel was designed by world-renowned architect Ole Scheeren. Its façade is constructed with stacked basalt stone, punctuated by 3,775 circular glass “pixels” — an abstract reinterpretation of Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains, a revered 14th-century Chinese landscape painting. Light enters through these “landscape lenses,” casting a gentle rhythm throughout the interiors. At night, illuminated points transform the building’s base into a dynamic light artwork, vividly reflecting the flowing landscapes of the painting. Inside, handcrafted furnishings, contemporary ink works, and hutong-inspired architectural details create a layered and contemplative environment, enhanced by five serene treatment rooms where Guerlain rituals unfold in perfect harmony.
