What To Do This Weekend: Joo Chiat Car-Free Day, 3 October, Saturday

In celebration of Car-Free Day, Joo Chiat Road will transform into a car-free space on 3 October, bringing the community together to explore the neighbourhood, connect and linger along the street.

In Good Company will be opening its doors to its Joo Chiat shophouse, extending onto the streets in collaboration with brands from the neighborhood.

For four-legged friends, LICKED brings its Pawpsicles Cart, a live scoop station serving frozen treats made just for dogs ($3.00 each). Neighbourhood friends Birds of Paradise Gelato will park their Live Scoop Gelato Cart alongside, serving refreshing sorbets and a selection of their botanical gelato flavours ($8.00 – $13.00 each).

MIURA, the specialty tea and wagashi stand nestled within In Good Company, marks the occasion with a new Durian Daifuku. Soft mochi wraps around the king of fruits, best enjoyed the way Joo Chiat has long enjoyed its durian — curbside and unhurried ($8 each).

Inside In Good Company, the Pet Pop-up with Woof Living enters its final weekend, bringing together a considered selection of everyday essentials and play by Lambwolf Collective, pet-friendly treats by In Good Thyme, and ceramic feeders by Mud Rock Ceramics.

From play and care to rest and routine, the pop-up brings together thoughtfully designed pieces made for the everyday rituals shared with pets. More than a product collaboration, it brings together brands and makers with a shared appreciation for considered design and the small moments that shape everyday life.

Visitors are invited to bring their pets along for a curbside treat, stay for a conversation, and browse the final weekend of the Pet Pop-Up at their own pace. With the doors open to everyone until 9pm, visitors can explore the shophouse and soak up the atmosphere of the Joo Chiat neighbourhood.

Details of Joo Chiat Car-Free Day:

Date: 3 October 2026
Time: 3.30pm–9pm
Venue: IN GOOD COMPANY, 316 Joo Chiat Road
